Applications
Fume and emissions of laser machining
|
About 90% of the particles produced by the use of lasers have an aerodynamic diameter of less than 1µm (smoke). Particles of this size can directly penetrate the alveoli and affect lung function. Scientific research has reported an association with subsequent damages such as irritation and inflammation of the respiratory tract as well as to abnormal alteration of the mucous membrane, asthma, allergic reactions, various dysfunctions and even lung cancer. |
